Welcome to SHINE!

Shine is our middle school and high school girls mentoring program. It is a unique personal development and group-mentoring tool that uses an inspirational, practical, and experiential approach to learning. The program is founded on the premise that every life counts and has intrinsic value, and fosters an awareness of this belief. The Shine course has been running since 1997 with over 20,000 adolescents and women impacted in more than 30 nations. C3 is excited to partner with Shine to run programs this semester in schools.

Shine will focus on three core concepts – Worth, Strength and Purpose. Our core objectives are for girls to:

-Identify themselves as valuable with much to contribute to society
-Build confidence and gain an understanding of intrinsic value
-Develop decision-making and problem solving skills
-Understand they are able to have a positive influence in their world
-Identify personal desires and strengths to motivate them to set and achieve personal goals

Each session we will have fun activities, a dynamic presentation, and time for sharing and reflection. This is a great way for students to grow friendships and connect with caring mentors.
